Activities for the week:
- We will learn the letter R in handwriting.
- Discover that Lent is a time to grow in love for God and others. Go to Mass on Ash Wednesday.
- Make a five senses booklet in Art.
- Pretend to work in an animal hospital in Dramatic Play.
- Play with sensory gloves (latex gloves filled with rice, playdough, sand, etc.) in the Sensory table. These are fun to squish.
- Use our sense of touch to explore feeling boxes in Science.
- Learn about each of our senses through various group activities. (sight-play I Spy, hearing-listen to a tape of common sounds, taste - taste foods that are sweet, salty and sour, smell - smelling jars filled with various scents)
- Eat king cake and celebrate Mardi Gras.
- Learn to recognize and write the number 7 in Math.
Other Information:
Tuesday, Feb. 16th - Happy Mardi Gras!!
Wednesday, Feb. 17th - we will attend Mass with our 6th grade buddies.
Thank you to Mrs. Epple for planning and organizing a great Valentine Party! Also, thanks to all the moms that helped out, the kids really had a good time!
