Week of May 17 - 21

Theme: Ocean Life

Activities for the week:

• Make seahorses in Art.
• Have fun at the beach in Dramatic Play.
• Count fish bubbles in Math.
• Review our letters in handwriting.
• Examine sea shells with a magnifying glass in Science.
• Play with shells and fish in glittery shredded paper(water) in the Sensory Table.
• Listen to the stories "A House for Hermit Crab" and "What Lives in a Shell?" during group time.

Other Information:

Thursday, May 20th - Jupiter Jump Party - please send a $1.50 to help cover the cost. Children may wear Spirit Dress.

Thank you to Gracie and her family for letting us borrow their rocking horse. We had a lot of fun!!

Looking ahead to next week (May 24 - 28):

Wednesday, May 26th - Super Kids Day. We will have our own out on the playground. We will not be purchasing snacks.

Friday, May 28th - Last Day of School - report cards will be sent home in folders. Have a great summer!!!

Week of May 10 -14

Theme: Wild West

Activities for the week:

• In Art we will make a western scene using markers and stickers.
• Review our numbers 1-10 in Math.
• Play with a train set in Blocks.
• Discover how a various locks work in Science.
• Review all of the letters in Handwriting.
• Participate in a cowboy campout in Dramatic Play.
• Pan for gold in the Sensory Table.
• During group time we will have some rodeo fun with stick horses.
• In Religion we will learn about and pray the Rosary.

Other Information:

Wed., May 12th and Thurs., May 13th - Western Wear free dress. Children may wear jeans, hats, boots, etc.

Friday, May 14th - we will eat our lunch outside while we watch the 8th graders perform Shakespeare in the Park. The cafeteria will be closed, so every child needs to bring a lunch. Parents are welcome to join us. We will eat at 10:55 on the SW side of the church. Parents please bring a blanket or chair for you to sit on.

Thank you to Caroline's mom and Lexie's mom for watching our class for lunch during Teacher Appreciation.

Looking ahead to next week (May 17-21):

Thursday, May 20th - Preschool Jupiter Jump party. All preschoolers and their parents are welcome to attend. It will be from 9:00am-12:00 on the school campus. Please send a $1.50 to help cover the cost. Thanks.
