Week of Jan. 31 - Feb. 4

Theme: Catholic Schools Week

Activities for the week:
  • Learn the letter B in Handwriting.
  • Learn about Baptism in Religion.
  • Experiment with magnets in Science.
  • Play a 123 board game in Math.
  • Pretend to be a teacher or student at school in Dramatic Play.
  • Explore various colorful wooden shapes in the Sensory Table.
  • Play with Legos in Blocks.
  • Have a songfest, read some stories, and play a game to learn positional words during Group Time.

Other Information:

Mon., Jan. 31 - crazy sock day

Tues., Feb. 1 - Talent Show at 8:30am, Spirit Dress

Wed., Feb. 2 - P.J.'s for pennies

Thurs., Feb. 3 - Family Lunch 11:30-12:15, wear your favorite team shirt

Fri., Feb. 4 - crazy hat day

Week of January 24 - 28

Theme: Space

Activities for the Week:
  • Learn the letter P in handwriting.
  • Discover that our church family is made up of the friends of Jesus in Religion.
  • Make marbled planets in Art.
  • Use a Lite Brite to make constellations in Science.
  • Count craters on the moon in Math.
  • Play with a Planet Heroes playset in Blocks.
  • Pretend to fly a spaceship and explore space in Dramatic Play.
  • Manipulate and explore sand, rocks, and plastic astronauts in the Sensory Table.
  • Celebrate the 100th day of school, listen to some books, play a Blast Off! game, sing the Blue's clues planet song and take a pretend trip to the moon during Group Time.

Other Information:

Wed., Jan. 26th - 8th grade fundraiser - Pizza Lunch Day - don't forget to bring your money.

Sat., Jan. 29th - Kindergarten testing for those who signed up in the office.

Week of January 18-21

Theme: Winter Wonderland

Activities for the Week:
  • Learn the letter D in handwriting.
  • Thank God for our families in Religion.
  • Make Icy Initials in Art.
  • Practice number recognition and counting with snowmen in Math.
  • Play with ice blocks and arctic animals in Blocks.
  • Pretend to dress up and play in the snow in Dramatic Play.
  • Search for small white items hidden in the snow (packing peanuts).
  • Write in the snow (shaving cream), learn about penquins, and complete a listen and do worksheet during Group Time.

Week of January 10-14

Theme: My Healthy Body

Activities for the week:
  • Learn the letter J in Handwriting.
  • Discover ways families love and care for one another in Religion.
  • Make cute toothbrushes in Art.
  • Learn how our spines work in Science.
  • Practice counting and number recognition with zipper pouches in Math.
  • Build with empty food boxes in Blocks.
  • Play with the kitchen and babies in Dramatic Play.
  • Explore various types of beans in the Sensory Table.
  • Listen to some stories, learn how to take care of our teeth, and learn who Martin Luther King, Jr. was during Group Time.
Other Information:

Remember to send a coat with your child, because we will go outside unless it is below freezing.

Remember to sign up your child for Kindergarten testing if you haven't already.
